Kintsugi is a traditional Japanese art of mending broken pottery with lacquer that is dusted with powdered gold or silver. This art embraces resilience and healing to show that even though something may once appear broken, it can become even more beautiful.
Whilst this traditional art and technique has been used to restore pottery, Atelier Kotona takes a modern approach on this art, creating beautiful jewellery with the same methods and techniques.
In this experience you will use various pottery pieces including damaged pieces from previous natural disasters that have since been treated, ready to be transformed into your very own one of a kind jewellery piece!
