Meet the craftsman

Mr. Kudō has over 40 years of experience working with Tsugaru-nuri lacquerware which is a unique form to Aomori Prefecture
Lacquerware is made from a raw sap called urushiol which is toxic, however Mr. Kudō has developed a tolerance to this over his years of refining his craft
He has collaborated with many businesses including Matsuya Ginza on creating lacquerware kokeshi dolls (which you can make as part of this experience)
He has a range of lacquerware products available at his shop, from bowls and cups to more unique items like an electric guitar!
