Cocoro Cafe
Cocoro Cafe is attached to Cocoro Gallery and is the perfect place to enjoy wafu cuisine, a Japanese take on western cuisine!
This cafe is actually the first cafe in Mashiko and was started by the third generation owner of Cocoro Gallery, who travelled to Tokyo to learn cafe culture with the aim of creating a meeting point and a place for visitors and locals to relax and recharge in between visiting the different galleries and shops.
At Cocoro Cafe you can also enjoy their specialty baked sweet potato - a sweet potato transformed to be even more delicious before being reshaped back into a sweet potato!
All tableware used in their cafe is made by the family so you can find inspiration and joy in these pieces when dining there!

How to get there
Located on the main pottery street in Mashiko and is a 5 minute walk from the Mashiko Museum of Ceramic Art
Free parking is also available outside the workshop
2 hour drive from Tokyo
2 hour train ride: Shinkansen from Tokyo Station to Utsunomiya Station (52 minutes) and take the bus from Platform 14 for 61 stops (1 hour) to 城内坂 and walk for 1 minute
