Description

Kintsugi is a traditional Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer that is dusted with powdered gold, silver or platinum. This art embraces resilience and healing to show that even though something may once appear broken, it can become even more beautiful.

Whilst this traditional art and technique has been used to restore pottery, Atelier Kotona takes a modern approach on this art, creating beautiful accessories with the same methods and techniques.

In this experience you will use various pottery pieces including some damaged from the great tsunami in 2011 that has since been treated, ready for you to transform into your very own unique piece!
